Myron Robert Conn

December 12, 1917 -  June 4, 2010 

When Brooks' wonderful grandpa died at the age of 94 this Summer we had a special and spiritual experience saying good-bye. I spent the next week scanning family photos and preparing a slideshow for the funeral which made me feel close to him in a new way. Grandpa Conn served as a major in the Air Force and was a pilot in WWII. He received many medals including the Silver Star and St. George even has a designated M. Robert Conn day on their calendar. At the funeral we had his uniform on display. I borrowed his cap and snapped a shot of each of the great-grandboys at the funeral. With the help of my sweet sister Anna I created this photography display for my wonderful Grandma Conn for Christmas. She opened it and there were tears shed. It was the best moment of my Christmas Season. Love you Grandpa Conn, thank you for the example you have set for your posterity. And thank you to Grandma Conn for being my surrogate Grandma when all my own have passed on.
