Jonah has always loved bugs. He can spot a web in a second and has no fear of spiders or big, big bugs that make me scream. He has been stung on his fingers 3 times from trying to catch bees and hornets that he's sure are "friends" and won't sting him. I was doing a photo shoot the other day and in walks Jonah in his Buzz uniform to show me his new "friend." He proceeds to show me a caterpillar so big it makes me shiver. This caterpillar spent the next 3 days with us - Jonah knew when he was "hungry" and fed him, put a cover over his box for naps and even knew all about the caterpillars dreams. This kid has an imagination that makes me smile and laugh all the time. So the big juicy caterpillar was a fixture in our home for 3 days with Jonah checking on him frequently to see if he turned into a butterfly. The fat caterpillar didn't make it, but the story Jonah will tell is he turned to a butterfly in the night and flew out the window. I'll just let him keep believing and hope he doesn't bring anything bigger into the house next time.
